Over the course of the last 5 decades one thing has proven to be abundantly clear, there is no dearth of cricketing talent in the Indian subcontinent. We now stand at a point where India have enough talent to supply the rest of the World as well. So here are some of the better known players of Indian origin to have represented other nations at the World Cup.
Monty Panesar (ENG)
This left-arm spin maestro has been a presence in English County Cricket for over a decade and has been used intermittently by the English national team over the years in all formats of the game. He has also been a part of the Ashes winning English squads of 2009 and 2010-11. His consistent performances led to his selection in the 2007 World Cup squad for the English team where he picked up a total of 7 wickets at 4.6 runs per over.
Nasser Hussain (ENG)
This former England captain led England to their first round exit in the 2003 World Cup and yet is known to be a true legend of the game. His contribution to English cricket was awarded with an OBE in 2001. Him and former England coach Duncan Fletcher are considered to have revived English test cricket post the 1999 World Cup.

This former New Zealand all-rounder made a name for himself playing domestic cricket in England before moving to New Zealand after the English selectors chose to ignore him for the national squad. After a scintillating start in New Zealand’s domestic scene, Patel was picked for both the Test and ODI teams and represented the Black Caps at the 1987 and 1992 World Cup.

This South African Opener who can trace his roots to Gujarat is widely touted to be one of the top performers of the last decade and has show his brilliance repeatedly for a South African side that has needed his expertise.
